Designed and built to combine all of Clinica Family Health’s resources in one facility, this was the largest development project in Clinica’s history. Clinica chose Brinkmann Constructors to execute the already-established design and guide the team through an aggressive schedule.
The green building includes an integrated medical and dental clinic and pharmacy on the first floor, administration offices and training center on the second floor, and a live roof. The main courtyard features a play area for children, areas for public art installations, and gathering spaces for patients and employees.
Brinkmann did a great job helping us stay on track and within budget and kept us informed along the way regarding potential budget threats/opportunities.
Idea
Cut Costs by Reevaluating Manufacturing Sources
After pricing plans and specifications, Brinkmann took the initiative to evaluate alternative products and manufacturers for multiple finishes and scope items.
Result
Working as the client’s advocate, Brinkmann identified budget-cutting solutions and delivered on time results.
These alternative products provided the look and quality the team desired, while also saving the client roughly 2.5% on construction costs. Throughout the project, Brinkmann continued to “challenge the status quo” by evaluating the project from multiple perspectives and acting in the owner’s best interest. Completed within 13 months, the project was delivered on time and within budget.
