Barber-Nichols Warehouse Expansion

Barber-Nichols, Inc. (BNI) is a designer and manufacturer of pumps, turbines, compressors and controllers for the aerospace, defense, scientific, and power generation industries. After years of rapid growth, the company built a new 35,000 square-foot facility to improve manufacturing efficiency which was completed this year. 

For the expansion, Brinkmann Constructors was chosen for the design-build and was able to produce $900,000 worth of value engineering savings to get under contract - more than 10 percent of the job!  Based on recent successful design-build projects, Brinkmann was initially recommended to the client as a potential design builder by Ware Malcomb Architecture, who will continue to be a partner as the architect and civil engineer.
