Matt Funk joined Brinkmann Constructors in 2007 immediately after graduating college. He managed numerous multimillion-dollar projects and was promoted in 2015. As  corporate vice president of business development and preconstruction, Matt oversees the preconstruction process including estimating, bidding, and development of design/build GMPs for projects in the St. Louis market, as well as throughout the country. A strategic planner, he ensures the planning phase incorporates considerations such as operational planning, scheduling, budgeting, and constructability. His team enacts smart plans to achieve successful project completion, starting from day one.

Matt received a Bachelor of Science in Architectural Engineering from University of Missouri-Rolla (now known as Missouri University of Science & Technology). He is a LEED Accredited Professional in Building Design + Construction and has completed OSHA training for safety. He is also certified by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers as a Contractor Quality Control Manager.

At Brinkmann, Matt is a member of BECAUSE, the Brinkmann Community Involvement Committee. Out of the office, he is actively involved in Junior Achievement and the Design-Build Institute of America.
