This new student housing community is located just two blocks from Purdue University and directly across from Rise on Chauncey, Brinkmann’s first student housing facility in West Lafayette, completed in 2019.
The seven-story development includes five stories of wood framing over three stories of structural concrete, consisting of 235 units, 751 beds, 5,500 square feet of retail space and 16,700 square feet of amenity space. VERVE’s residential amenities include a clubhouse, ample study lounges, a state-of-the-art fitness center and two courtyard areas.
Throughout the project, Brinkmann identified significant value engineering opportunities, with $1.6 million in savings accepted by the client. Despite a two-month delay due to an incomplete structural design, the team initiated a structure phasing change, leading to the project’s early completion two and a half weeks ahead of schedule.
