Brinkmann Constructors' Charity Initiative Raises More Than $100,000 in 2019

St. Louis, MO., November 12, 2019 – Brinkmann Constructors’ annual employee charity initiative, BECAUSE (Brinkmann Employees Care About United Service Efforts), has raised a record $115,000 this year to benefit three local charities selected by Brinkmann employee-owners. Since its inception in 2014, BECAUSE has raised more than $300,000 by hosting special events, including  happy hours, golf tournaments, and clay shoots.

This year, Brinkmann’s headquarters in St. Louis raised $40,000 for The Covering House, an organization providing refuge and restoration for sexually exploited and trafficked children and teens. The organization’s Denver office donated $63,300 to Camp Wapiyapi, a summer camp for kids facing pediatric cancer. This was the first year the Kansas City office participated in fundraising efforts, contributing $9,650 to Big Brothers Big Sisters of Kansas City.

Investing in the community is important to Brinkmann. The organization plays an active role in its communities, donating time, talent and financial resources to charities across the country. For the past two years, Brinkmann Constructors has been a finalist for the St. Louis Business Journal’s Philanthropy Awards, an event celebrating the region’s top charitable organizations and their philanthropic impact.
