This expansive multi-building campus spans 65 acres in Overland Park, Kansas, creating a complete continuing care retirement community that serves as the premier senior living destination in the Kansas City metropolitan area.
Early involvement in the design of each building resulted in significant time and money savings throughout this senior living construction process, demonstrating the value of Brinkmann’s integrated design-build approach and deep partnership with Erickson Senior Living.

Strategic Phased Development
Phase 1: 33,000 SF foundation development housing 28 units, establishing the community’s core residential infrastructure and setting the standard for subsequent phases.
Phase 2: 53,000 SF expansion adding 68 units, building upon Phase 1’s success while introducing additional amenity spaces and community features.
Phase 3: 135,000 SF comprehensive development including 87 units and a two-level parking garage significantly expanded the community’s capacity and infrastructure.
Phase 4: 190,000 SF capstone development featuring 107 units and a below-grade parking garage, completing the campus and establishing Tallgrass Creek as one of the region’s most substantial senior living communities.

The completed campus provides a full spectrum of senior living services including independent living, assisted living, memory care, and skilled nursing facilities. This comprehensive approach enables residents to age in place while accessing appropriate levels of care as their needs evolve, supported by an on-campus medical center with full-time doctors and rehabilitation services through partnerships with Accelerated Care Plus.
