Robert G. Brinkmann incorporates his new business, R.G. Brinkmann Company. Its first office was a used 10 foot by 20 foot construction trailer known as “World Headquarters.”

Leo Eisenberg Co. Developers awards Brinkmann its fifth job, the 11,900 square foot Northwest Square Shopping Center near Northwest Plaza in St. Ann, Missouri which spurred Brinkmann’s first million dollar revenue year.

Brinkmann ‘graduated’ from the company’s construction trailer headquarters to a real office, leasing a small office in Creve Coeur, and added “Construction” to the company name.

Northwest Plaza in Minnesota is completed and becomes Brinkmann’s first out of town project and led to adoption of an advertising slogan that would endure: “Ask Brinkmann.”

Robert G. Brinkmann invests in Chesterfield Valley by locating Brinkmann’s headquarters in Chesterfield Grove.

Awarded construction of Chesterfield Commons, which would grow to become the nation’s largest open air retail center and the symbol of Chesterfield Valley’s remarkable resurgence from the Flood of 1993.

Brinkmann’s completion of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch earned the Regional Excellence Award Industrial Projects from St. Louis Construction News & Review.

The firm adopted a new name Brinkmann Constructors and completed a new logo and website

Brinkmann commenced its 20th year with $1 billion in total construction put in place and expansion into Denver on the wings of a long term client THF Realty.
Robert G. Brinkmann announced his decision to expand Brinkmann’s ownership group after 22 years as sole owner by transferring 15 percent ownership to seven employees with a combined 108 years of service. The team included Brian Satterthwaite, Tom Oberle and Kevin Snow.

Robert G. Brinkmann announces selling his majority interest in the company to Brinkmann employees in order to establish an Employee Stock Ownership Program (ESOP) making the company 100 percent employee owned.

Brinkmann’s BECAUSE community outreach employee committee is introduced to formalize a commitment to improving local communities.

Brinkmann celebrates 1,000 jobs and opened Kansas City office in Overland Park, KS.

With revenue of $415 million, Brinkmann tops revenue expectations by 15 percent and posted its best year ever thanks to repeat clients like Erickson Living, NorthPoint Development and CA Ventures. Brinkmann started construction on four of the top five largest projects in company history: Penn State, Wind Crest, Rise at Chauncey and Project Fusion.

Brinkmann opens an office in Richmond, VA.
